Heather Langenkamp began acting as a teen in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Outsiders, which was shot in her hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was studying at Stanford University when Wes Craven cast her as Nancy Thompson in Nightmare On Elm Street. She also appeared in two Elm Street sequels, Dream Warriors, and in Wes Craven’s New Nightmare, where she plays herself in a fictional story based on real experiences with a Nightmare-obsessed stalker.
Heather is a cinematic jill-of-all-trades; she has produced, directed, composed and done special effects and makeup for motion pictures. She also runs the Malibu Gum Factory, manufacturing gum packs with trading cards of surfers!
