The daughter of a former British Army officer and an entertainment organizer, Jenny Agutter lived in Cyprus and Malaya as a child. In the mid 1960s she was a child actress in films and two BBC series, including the TV and film adaptations of The Railway Children. At 16 she began transitioning to films for a more mature audience in Nicholas Roeg’s Walkabout.
The primary cause for her inclusion here is her role in An American Werewolf In London in 1981, which perfectly displayed her combination of pristine innocence and edgy sexuality. Other fantasy and SF credits include Shelley, Logan’s Run, The Survivor, Darkman, Child’s Play 2, and Burke and Hare. She has also appeared in many cool TV series, including Thriller, Six Million Dollar Man, Magnum P.I., The Twilight Zone, The Equalizer, Red Dwarf, The All New Alexi Sayle Show, MI-5, and The Invisibles.
